Orthopaedics for Kids is dedicated to treating the special needs of infants, children, teenagers and young adults with acute and chronic orthopedic conditions. A child's musculoskeletal problems are different from those of an adult. Because children are still growing, their body’s response to injuries, infections and deformities may be quite different from those of an adult. At Orthopaedics for Kids, we focus on the unique needs of your child, emphasizing early and accurate diagnosis, appropriate intervention and treatment and long term monitoring of disorders of the muscles, bones and joints. Dr. John Killian and Dr. Sharon Mayberry are fellowship trained in Pediatric Orthopaedics and have devoted their entire practice to caring for children with congenital, developmental, and traumatic disorders of the musculoskeletal system. They specialize in a full range of pediatric orthopaedic conditions including (but not limited to):
• Fractures Every child referred to our practice is provided 24 hour coverage, 7 days a week, by the practitioners in our group. Patients are seen in our offices, as well as the inpatient/outpatient areas and Emergency Rooms of Studer Family Children’s Hospital. Our staff will provide you with clear information regarding your diagnosis and treatment options. Each consultation is concluded with a report to your child’s referring physician describing details of the examination and recommendation(s).
